SIERRA VISTA 4-LEGGED PURSUIT ENDS AFTER OVER AN HOUR

SIERRA VISTA 4-LEGGED PURSUIT ENDS AFTER OVER AN HOUR..At approximately 1:30 PM, sierra Vista animal control officers received a call for service on the 70th block of Wolf Street regarding a stray dog in somebody’s yard that needed to be picked up.
Once the animal control officer arrived on the scene, she attempted to make contact with a tan Pitbull in the fenced-in front yard of the residence.
The ACO first attempted to leash the dog but was unsuccessful, the officer then attempted to negotiate with the skittish dog using treats but was also unsuccessful.
The officer attempted to utilize a catch pole to secure the dog but that to was unsuccessful.
during this time the dog became aggressive and begin lunging at the ACO and she requested backup.
An officer with a Sierra Vista Police Department and an additional ACO responded to the scene to assist.
For approximately 30 minutes, SVPD and ACO attempted to wrangle the dog in the front yard with the dog slipping away each time.
As officers closed in on the dog, the dog lunged and started charging towards the SVPD officer who attempted to deploy a taser which was also unsuccessful.
The dog then jumped the fence and a foot pursuit ensued around North Ave, Peterson, Wolf, and Carmichael.
During this time, additional SVPD officers who were overhearing the radio traffic began responding to the area to assist.
After another approximately 45-minute foot chase through alleyways and streets, they were able to surround the dog in a front yard on Peterson St and get him into custody.
It took three animal control officers to load the still agitated dog into the animal control vehicle.
In total it took approximately an hour and five minutes to get the dog into custody.
The tan pitbull will be charged with felony flight, criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest.
on a serious note: The dog will be at the Sierra Vista animal shelter and will NOT be euthanized.

I am no longer waiting for a special occasion

I am no longer waiting for a special occasion; I burn the best candles on ordinary days.
I am no longer waiting for the house to be clean; I fill it with people who understand that even dust is Sacred.
I am no longer waiting for everyone to understand me; It’s just not their task
I am no longer waiting for the perfect children; my children have their own names that burn as brightly as any star.
I am no longer waiting for the other shoe to drop; It already did, and I survived.
I am no longer waiting for the time to be right; the time is always now.
I am no longer waiting for the mate who will complete me; I am grateful to be so warmly, tenderly held.
I am no longer waiting for a quiet moment; my heart can be stilled whenever it is called.
I am no longer waiting for the world to be at peace; I unclench my grasp and breathe peace in and out.
I am no longer waiting to do something great; being awake to carry my grain of sand is enough.
I am no longer waiting to be recognized; I know that I dance in a holy circle.
I am no longer waiting for Forgiveness.
I believe, I Believe.

SIERRA VISTA GIVES LOCATION FACING CLOSURE..

SIERRA VISTA GIVES LOCATION FACING CLOSURE…The location at 3818 East Astro St. In Hereford is $1700 in arrears and needs to find a new cheaper space in Sierra Vista if possible. Reneee McKeough the founder of SV GIVES wrote this message on her Facebook page today….

“Hello SVG family! I hope today finds you in good spirits and good health. I’ve been very reluctant to post today what is potentially bad news for SVG. However, I cannot wait any longer.

When I started this project, I had zero notion it would get this big. This last year has marked many milestones-and it was every bit YOUR doing. This year also was a very difficult one for me as I experienced a multitude of tragedies, setbacks, and brick walls were hit.

It seemed to the majority that I disappeared, and the rumors abounded. I was very much still here, just needed to take some time to put my pieces back together-which made it even more difficult hearing how ugly some of the rumors got. Some even stooped to say I was stealing, committing fraud, I was lying and abusing my position as founder-and taking advantage. It wasn’t the statements being made so much as it was the conviction behind those rumors. A bit of advice to those whose feet fit these shoes: if even half the energy spent on tearing someone down was applied to building ppl up-the results would astonish even the hardest of hearts. This would be such a united and strong community.

But enough on that. I don’t respond to ugly-and I was dealing with enough on my own.
I pretty much lost my entire family in one fail swoop, my mother had gotten worse, I was now alone having to deal with my loss, among other things-it was too much and there was a few moments when I should have been hospitalized-but I couldn’t. When I lost my director, the 501(c)3 I assumed had been started, wasn’t even begun, and now had to be placed on hold till I could find a replacement. I had to let a good volunteer go, and tho it was a very difficult decision, it was one that HAD to be made in the best interest of this project.

The overhead costs were getting behind, and no raffles or events/fundraisers were done to get the funds needed to catch up. In my absence and attempts to get help, things at SVG were getting critical and I couldn’t let that happen. I put myself on hold to return to what was left of SVG and try to get it back on track. Even my volunteers were feeling the pressure.

To back it up a little, this was an IDEA I had and I got the ball rolling. It was YOU the community that set the pace and this was your project that allowed so many of you to do what it is that you wanted-which was to help your fellow community members out. We also provided opportunities and services no other agency here does. This is just as much your baby as it is mine. This project was never about me. I didn’t want to be in the limelight. It was about the community as a whole, to create a strong unit. But there were some that tried to sabotage me; but in turn-it negatively affected the community.

The sponsors we have don’t cover the expenses we have, and we are behind. Behind enough that I cannot continue to stay in the building we’re in and drag out the deficit we have. The landlord has been too amazing and has given us grace-but I cannot take advantage of that, knowing we won’t have the funds needed immediately.

Therefore, until we find a location in Sierra Vista that’s more cost effective, we find more sponsors, and we get the 501(C)3 filed, I will need to terminate the center. The page will be active and utilized as a networking platform still. SV Gives will still be an AZ nonprofit for at least another whole year-which means I can still do some things. We just can’t hold on to a brick and mortar without adequate sponsorship.

I will still keep the storage unit and it can be used to store our shelving and appliances until such time we are able to reopen having full sponsorship, a better location and federal nonprofit status.

As much as it kills me (so much I’ve cried and prayed about it, and I’ve put it off for far too long), bc there are things we do and provide that no one else does agency wise.
I’m sorry this has come to you this morning, but I needed to keep you all informed-and I’ve always told you I’d be transparent-even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear.
I’ve even had to get a job-and focus on obtaining income now that I’m alone. I’m faced with having to relocate my own residence as rent went from $652 to $1002. Also, my vehicle is getting ready to fail- and so many other things.

To say it’s been difficult is an understatement. My heart cannot take any more ugliness, or tragedies. I appreciate you taking the time to read this ‘book’ of a post! Stay strong and stay beautiful!”

THE LAST "ALOHA"...

THE LAST “ALOHA”…SHOCK AS THE HAWAIAN ANGEL MASSAGE LADY KNOWN AS “MARIA” WAS THE PERSON KILLED SATURDAY NIGHT in the tragic accident AZ-92 and Fry Intersection by Taco Bell in Sierra Vista AZ.
60-year old Reyna “Maria” Vos was well known for her miracle Angelic hands that could ease any pain. She had her part-time practice at Miller Chiropractic on Fry Blvd. until Dr. Miller passed away in June. Maria then was offered to move to Buena Health and Fitness Center by a patient of hers Danny Diaz who is co-owner of the Center and found her a nice room space to use. The 5’2 petite lady was always walking down Fry Blvd to various places as her car went out a few years ago and never could get it back up.
She always had a smile and loved teaching tennis to teens in the area at Kings Court when she could and was in very good shape and always health conscious. She would be handing out fruit or bananas to others and encouraging healthy eating always.
Our own Todd Ryen used to drive her whenever he could and remembers her for her honesty and positivity. She always let you know how she felt and wasn’t afraid to give her opinions on the World around us but at the same time would give you the shirt off her back to help you if you needed it.
Her famous Angel Maria Massage sign was often posted on Fry Blvd next to the Original Sun and Spokes Bike Shop and now will be up for a final tribute Memorial to her at Buena Health and Fitness until September 15th in her memory.
She always greeted others with “Aloha” as she grew up in Hawaii and loved her heritage. Maria got into massage therapy when she realized a talent with her Angelic Healing Hands after her mother thought she broke a chickens neck to pluck and then have for dinner in her native Hawaii as a youngster. Little Maria came upon the struggling chicken and used her hands to reposition the neck and heal the bird! Her Mother then realized her daughter had the special gift to heal and she then used her gift to help many over the years.
Maria loved making others feel better and special whenever she could and would randomly strike up conversations with others and especially children.
“ALOHA” Maria until we meet Again!❤
The only pic of Maria we found was in a previous Herald/Review Media article on her teaching others her love for tennis.

TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS IN SEPARATE CASES...Press Release from SVPD Below.

TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS IN SEPARATE CASES…Press Release from SVPD Below.
Sierra Vista, AZ. 08/30/21. The Sierra Vista Police Department recently arrested two men in two days on multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a minor in unrelated cases.
The first case began in July 2021 when the Sierra Vista Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and launched an investigation. A second tip was received in early August and both tips identified an individual using the internet to transmit illicit child images in the Sierra Vista area.
Investigators identified 35-year-old Sierra Vista resident Luis Cesar Fernandez De Castro as the suspect involved in transmitting illicit child images and obtained a search warrant for a residence located in the 7200 block of State Route 92. SVPD detectives and Homeland Security Investigations special agents served the warrant at about 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, and secured evidence of the illicit activities during the search.
Fernandez De Castro was arrested on Friday morning and charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
In a separate case, SVPD detectives were notified by an HSI special agent of an individual in the custody of U.S. Border Patrol who had illicit child images on an electronic device in his possession on Saturday, Aug. 28. A search warrant was obtained for the device and evidence of illicit child images was identified, leading to the arrest of 28-year-old Phoenix resident Jesus Moreno-Cruz on three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Saturday. Moreno-Cruz was booked into Cochise County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
“These investigations demonstrate how the extraordinary cooperation between SVPD and HSI helps keep our community safe from online predators,” says Thomas Ransford, SVPD’s lead detective on the cases.
Anyone with information relevant to these types of cases is asked to contact SVPD Detective Thomas Ransford at (520) 452-7500.

WENDY'S SIERRA VISTA MOUSE GATE SOLVED? ADDITIONAL DETAILS REPORT #2

WENDY’S SIERRA VISTA MOUSE GATE SOLVED? ADDITIONAL DETAILS REPORT #2  We interview Ann Rumery the Door Dash Driver who had the mouse jump out of her delivery bag. The incident did not occur Wednesday but was actually a few months ago now.
Earlier Wednesday Wendy’s Restaurant abruptly closed and hung up on CoolFMonline when we called to get clarification. Social media was abuzz on Chit Chat Sierra Vista that the reason they may have closed Wednesday was because of this mouse incident. It appears now the closing was not due to this specific incident and may be other reasons not related to the various speculation conversations.

Sierra Vista 911  man pulls rifle on officers after refusing to pay locksmith.

Sierra Vista 911  man pulls rifle on officers after refusing to pay locksmith.
Aggravated Assault on Officers
5000 block of Leonardo da Vinci
08-03-2021
On Tuesday, August third, during the late evening hours, officers with the Sierra Vista Police Department were dispatched to an alarm at a residence located in the 5000 block of Leonardo da Vinci on the east side of Sierra Vista.
Officers arrived at the home and discovered that the residents had locked themselves out and set the alarm off attempting to gain entry.
Officers called in a local locksmith company to assist the homeowners in unlocking the residence. Once the locksmith arrived on the scene, the officers left the area.
At approximately 8:19 PM, Sierra Vista Police were dispatched to the same address in regards to a theft of services. Initial reports describe the homeowner identified as 89 year old Roman Lizarraga was refusing to pay for the locksmith services.
Officers arrived back at the scene and began attempting to sort out the problem, when at some point, Lizarraga became irate and grabbed a long rifle and attempted to raise it at the officers.
Both officers immediately went hands-on with Lizarraga and began struggling over the firearm, successfully disarming him of the rifle and put him in cuffs.
According to officers, during the struggle for the firearm Lizarraga had his finger on the trigger of the rifle.
Officers secured the rifle and discovered it was loaded with 15 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.
Officers then summoned medical personnel to the scene to evaluate Lizarraga for superficial scrapes from the struggle.
According to police, Roman Lizarraga has been booked into the Cochise County jail on two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of domestic violence assault.
As a result of the officers quick thinking and quick actions during the situation, it didn’t escalate to a deadly use of force situation, and was de-escalated with minimal use of force.
We will update this post with additional information as it comes to light.

24-HOURS BEFORE HOLLY BUTCHER PASSED FROM CANCER SHE POSTED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE TO US ALL

24-HOURS BEFORE HOLLY BUTCHER PASSED FROM CANCER SHE POSTED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE TO US ALL❤A bit of life advice from Hol:
“It’s a strange thing to realise and accept your mortality at 26 years young. It’s just one of those things you ignore. The days tick by and you just expect they will keep on coming; Until the unexpected happens. I always imagined myself growing old, wrinkled and grey- most likely caused by the beautiful family (lots of kiddies) I planned on building with the love of my life. I want that so bad it hurts.
That’s the thing about life; It is fragile, precious and unpredictable and each day is a gift, not a given right.
I’m 27 now. I don’t want to go. I love my life. I am happy.. I owe that to my loved ones. But the control is out of my hands.
I haven’t started this ‘note before I die’ so that death is feared – I like the fact that we are mostly ignorant to it’s inevitability.. Except when I want to talk about it and it is treated like a ‘taboo’ topic that will never happen to any of us.. That’s been a bit tough. I just want people to stop worrying so much about the small, meaningless stresses in life and try to remember that we all have the same fate after it all so do what you can to make your time feel worthy and great, minus the bullshit.
I have dropped lots of my thoughts below as I have had a lot of time to ponder life these last few months. Of course it’s the middle of the night when these random things pop in my head most!
1) Those times you are whinging about ridiculous things (something I have noticed so much these past few months), just think about someone who is really facing a problem. Be grateful for your minor issue and get over it. It’s okay to acknowledge that something is annoying but try not to carry on about it and negatively effect other people’s days.
2) Once you do that, get out there and take a freaking big breath of that fresh Aussie air deep in your lungs, look at how blue the sky is and how green the trees are; It is so beautiful. Think how lucky you are to be able to do just that – breathe.
3) You might have got caught in bad traffic today, or had a bad sleep because your beautiful babies kept you awake, or your hairdresser cut your hair too short. Your new fake nails might have got a chip, your boobs are too small, or you have cellulite on your arse and your belly is wobbling.
Let all that shit go.. I swear you will not be thinking of those things when it is your turn to go. It is all SO insignificant when you look at life as a whole. I’m watching my body waste away right before my eyes with nothing I can do about it and all I wish for now is that I could have just one more Birthday or Christmas with my family, or just one more day with my partner and dog. Just one more.
4) I hear people complaining about how terrible work is or about how hard it is to exercise – Be grateful you are physically able to. Work and exercise may seem like such trivial things … until your body doesn’t allow you to do either of them.
I tried to live a healthy life, in fact, that was probably my major passion. Appreciate your good health and functioning body- even if it isn’t your ideal size. Look after it and embrace how amazing it is. Move it and nourish it with fresh food. Don’t obsess over it.
5) Remember there are more aspects to good health than the physical body.. work just as hard on finding your mental, emotional and spiritual happiness too. That way you might realise just how insignificant and unimportant having this stupidly portrayed perfect social media body really is.. While on this topic, delete any account that pops up on your news feeds that gives you any sense of feeling shit about yourself. Friend or not.. Be ruthless for your own well-being.
6) Be grateful for each day you don’t have pain and even the days where you are unwell with man flu, a sore back or a sprained ankle, accept it is shit but be thankful it isn’t life threatening and will go away.
7) Whinge less, people! .. And help each other more.
😎 Give, give, give. It is true that you gain more happiness doing things for others than doing them for yourself. I wish I did this more. Since I have been sick, I have met the most incredibly giving and kind people and been the receiver of the most thoughtful and loving words and support from my family, friends and strangers; More than I could I ever give in return. I will never forget this and will be forever grateful to all of these people.
9) It is a weird thing having money to spend at the end.. when you’re dying. It’s not a time you go out and buy material things that you usually would, like a new dress. It makes you think how silly it is that we think it is worth spending so much money on new clothes and ‘things’ in our lives.
Buy your friend something kind instead of another dress, beauty product or jewellery for that next wedding. 1. No-one cares if you wear the same thing twice 2. It feels good. Take them out for a meal, or better yet, cook them a meal. Shout their coffee. Give/ buy them a plant, a massage or a candle and tell them you love them when you give it to them.
10) Value other people’s time. Don’t keep them waiting because you are shit at being on time. Get ready earlier if you are one of those people and appreciate that your friends want to share their time with you, not sit by themselves, waiting on a mate. You will gain respect too! Amen sister.
11) This year, our family agreed to do no presents and despite the tree looking rather sad and empty (I nearly cracked Christmas Eve!), it was so nice because people didn’t have the pressure of shopping and the effort went into writing a nice card for each other. Plus imagine my family trying to buy me a present knowing they would probably end up with it themselves.. strange! It might seem lame but those cards mean more to me than any impulse purchase could. Mind you, it was also easier to do in our house because we had no little kiddies there. Anyway, moral of the story- presents are not needed for a meaningful Christmas. Moving on.
12) Use your money on experiences.. Or at least don’t miss out on experiences because you spent all your money on material shit.
13) Put in the effort to do that day trip to the beach you keep putting off. Dip your feet in the water and dig your toes in the sand. Wet your face with salt water.
14) Get amongst nature.
15) Try just enjoying and being in moments rather than capturing them through the screen of your phone. Life isn’t meant to be lived through a screen nor is it about getting the perfect photo.. enjoy the bloody moment, people! Stop trying to capture it for everyone else.
Random rhetorical question. Are those several hours you spend doing your hair and make up each day or to go out for one night really worth it? I’ve never understood this about females
🤔.
16) Get up early sometimes and listen to the birds while you watch the beautiful colours the sun makes as it rises.
17) Listen to music.. really listen. Music is therapy. Old is best.
18) Cuddle your dog. Far out, I will miss that.
19) Talk to your friends. Put down your phone. Are they doing okay?
20) Travel if it’s your desire, don’t if it’s not.
21) Work to live, don’t live to work.
Seriously, do what makes your heart feel happy.
22) Eat the cake. Zero guilt.
23) Say no to things you really don’t want to do.
24) Don’t feel pressured to do what other people might think is a fulfilling life.. you might want a mediocre life and that is so okay.
25) Tell your loved ones you love them every time you get the chance and love them with everything you have.
26) Also, remember if something is making you miserable, you do have the power to change it – in work or love or whatever it may be. Have the guts to change. You don’t know how much time you’ve got on this earth so don’t waste it being miserable. I know that is said all the time but it couldn’t be more true.
Anyway, that’s just this one young gals life advice. Take it or leave it, I don’t mind!
Oh and one last thing, if you can, do a good deed for humanity (and myself) and start regularly donating blood. It will make you feel good with the added bonus of saving lives. I feel like it is something that is so overlooked considering every donation can save 3 lives! That is a massive impact each person can have and the process really is so simple.
Blood donation (more bags than I could keep up with counting) helped keep me alive for an extra year – a year I will be forever grateful that I got to spend it here on Earth with my family, friends and dog. A year I had some of the greatest times of my life.
..’Til we meet again.

BUENA GRADUATE EVAN BOONE WINS 2021 ELITE NATIONAL TRACK

BUENA GRADUATE EVAN BOONE WINS 2021 ELITE NATIONAL TRACK CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP🏆🏆It was the second title for the 21-Year Old and we congratulate him on this great achievement! The race was held July 15th through the 20th in Trexlertown PA.
A link to the announcement post and comments from Evan here: https://www.facebook.com/259893028125407/posts/931022004345836/
What a weekend at the 2021 Elite National Championships. After some fast keirin heats and semis, I was able to make it into the keirin final. With drawing position 6 in the final, I put it all out there with a long ride at the front from the beginning. I’m super happy to have pulled it off and to be the 2021 Elite Keirin National Champ.
After qualifying first in the flying 200m qualifier, I worked my way through the sprint rounds. Rain delayed some sprint rounds and pushed the final rounds to the next day. I made it into the gold medal ride that morning and took the first round of the best 2/3 series. Though after going to a 3rd round decider, I came away with a 2nd place. Congrats to all the riders for great racing and for great sportsmanship.

COOLFM CAR UPDATEThe Cool Car went down for the count on July 6th

COOLFM CAR UPDATE‼️The Cool Car went down for the count on July 6th with the car basically needing an engine rehaul with the latest cost estimate at $4000! We decided in the end to not sink anymore money in the 2003 Pontiac Grand AM with over 300,000 miles on it already.
We started a gofundme campaign to help us either fix the existing car or get into a newer one.
We met with Lorenzo at Lawley’s in Sierra Vista and he found a one owner 2015 Chrysler 200 with 53,000 miles in mint condition. They also provided a 3 year warranty which will basically fix any major repairs if needed on the car during that time.
The money raised and donated will now go towards the car payment and added insurance costs of around $418 per month. We also will be getting new art design for the vehicle from Artist Demis Perez and a wrap of the car done this time by “Got Tint?”
A total of 68 people and businesses have donated to date and we can’t thank you enough for your contributions to make this next step even possible!
Any donations made will go directly to car and insurance payments and the materials for the new art wrap of the vehicle!
We love you and appreciate your support so much during this time ❤

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARRESTS OF BROTHERS OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS FOR DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARRESTS OF BROTHERS OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS FOR DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES  Press Release from the SVPD Below.
Sierra Vista, AZ. 07/15/21. The Sierra Vista Police Department arrested two California men on drug and weapon charges on Wednesday, resulting from the investigation into a Tuesday shooting outside a local Filiberto’s restaurant that left two people dead.
As reported in a previous press release, SVPD arrested 21-year-old Sierra Vista resident Devon Neff on two charges of second-degree murder following the shooting on Tuesday, July 13. SVPD’s investigation indicates that an altercation that led to the shooting appears to be tied to a debt owed on illegal drug sales.
Video of the shooting incident obtained by SVPD shows a Chrysler 300 pull up next to a Dodge Challenger in the parking lot of Filiberto’s. One of the two shooting victims, 25-year-old Sierra Vista resident Landon Klein, can be seen exiting the Chrysler 300 and walking to the driver’s window of the Dodge Challenger.
After what appears to be a brief conversation between Klein and the driver of the Challenger, identified as Neff, Klein can be seen punching Neff several times before walking away. Neff then points a gun out of the driver’s side window and shoots Klein, who runs away.
Neff then exits his vehicle and walks to the rear of the Challenger as the passenger door of the Chrysler opens. Neff shoots the passenger, identified as 25-year-old Sierra Vista resident Honeylynne Garcia. Neff can then be seen crouching behind his own vehicle as he appears to manipulate his gun. He then stands up and shoots at Garcia three or four times. Neff then gets inside his vehicle and leaves the scene. Both Klein and Garcia died from the wounds they suffered in the shooting.
As has been released, a search warrant was served at Neff’s residence and several items related to illegal drug activity were seized. Based on information obtained in that search, a search warrant for Klein’s residence was obtained and a search was executed.
Numerous drugs and guns were seized in the search of Klein’s residence, which resulted in the arrests of 21-year-old Roger Garcia and 25-year-old DJ Garcia on Wednesday, July 14. Roger and DJ Garcia are from Salton City, California. They were both charged with possession of marijuana for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, and four counts of misconduct with weapons.
Anyone with information relevant to this case is asked to contact the Sierra Vista Police Department by calling (520) 452-7500.

A FORMER WAITRESS AT SUNNY D's RESTAURANT LOSES LIFE IN SENSELESS SHOOTING

A FORMER WAITRESS AT SUNNY D’s RESTAURANT LOSES LIFE IN SENSELESS SHOOTING…25-Year Old Honeylynne Garcia was one of the two victims in this past weeks shooting at Filiberto’s parking lot. She had been a favorite waitress at the Restaurant in Huachuca City since she was 17. She was known to pay for people meals at times and was always a friendly reason to go to the restaurant.
Our own Todd Ryen had many interactions with her while dining at the restaurant and said “she was one of my favorites always having a smile and very attentive” Ryen went on to say “Sometimes good people get wrapped up in bad choices but it doesn’t make them bad, life is sometimes more complicated than what it seems on the surface” “I choose to believe she was a good person who got led astray”

Linda Hennen Sansone wrote this post in the local Chit Chat Sierra Vista page..

“My heart is absolutely broken. I spent much of Wednesday searching every news outlet and police blogs trying to disprove what I was

praying was a rumor. How can you accept the murder of one of the sweetest and kindest young woman you’ve ever known. My hubby and I have to visit Sunny D’s in Huachuca City for breakfast at least twice every week. Honey was always smiling, talking and being her bubbly self. Doubt she knew us by name, but she remembered our drink order and greeted us as friends every time. This tragedy has me questioning everything. I know in my heart this was an amazing young woman caught up with a very bad crowd. God bless her friends and family . Fly high with the angels sweet girl🙏♥️

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 14, 2021
Man charged with two counts of second-degree murder after Tuesday night shooting

A RESPONSE LIKE NO OTHER........

A RESPONSE LIKE NO OTHER……..
“A local police station received this question from a resident through the feedback section of a local Police website: “I would like to know how it is possible for police officers to continually harass people and get away with it?”
In response, a Sergeant posted this reply:
First of all, let me tell you this… it’s not easy. In the rural area we average one officer for every 505 people. Only about 60 per cent of those police are on general duty where we do most of our harassing.
The rest are in non-harassing units that do not allow them contact with the day to day innocents. At any given moment, only one-fifth of the 60 per cent of general duties are on duty and available for harassing people while the rest are off duty. So, roughly, one police officer is responsible for harassing about 6000 residents.
When you toss in the commercial business and tourist locations that attract people from other areas, sometimes you have a situation where a single officer is responsible for harassing 15,000 or more people a day.
Now, your average eight-hour shift runs 28,800 seconds long. This gives a cop two-thirds of a second to harass a person, and then only another third of a second to drink an iced coffee AND then find a new person to harass. This is not an easy task. To be honest, most police are not up to the challenge day in and day out. It is just too tiring. What we do is utilise some tools to help us narrow down those people we can realistically harass.
PHONE: People will call us up and point out things that cause us to focus on a person for special harassment. “My neighbour is beating his wife” is a code phrase used often. This means we’ll come out and give somebody some special harassment. Another popular one is, “There’s a guy breaking into a house.” The harassment team is then put into action.
CARS: We have special cops assigned to harass people who drive. They like to harass the drivers of fast cars, cars with no insurance or drivers with no licences and the like. It’s lots of fun when you pick them out of traffic for nothing more obvious than running a red light. Sometimes you get to really heap the harassment on when you find they have drugs in the car, they are drunk, or have an outstanding warrant on file.
LAWS: When we don’t have phone or cars, and have nothing better to do, there are actually books that give us ideas for reasons to harass folks. They are called “statutes”. These include the Crimes Act, Summary Offences Act, Land Transport Act and a whole bunch of others… They spell out all sorts of things for which you can really mess with people. After you read the law, you can just drive around for a while until you find someone violating one of these listed offences and harass them. Just last week I saw a guy trying to steal a car. Well, the book says that’s not allowed. That meant I had permission to harass this guy.
It is a really cool system that we have set up, and it works pretty well. We seem to have a never-ending supply of folks to harass. And we get away with it. Why? Because, for the good citizens who pay the tab, we try to keep the streets safe for them, and they pay us to “harass” some people.
Next time you are in the area, give me the old “single finger wave”. That’s another one of those codes. It means, “You can harass me.” It’s one of our favourites.”

SIERRA VISTA 911  LADY MOWES DOWN POWER POLE

SIERRA VISTA 911  LADY MOWES DOWN POWER POLE AND ARRESTED FOR DUI…Story courtesy of the Sierra Vista News Network(Update:
DUI Vehicle VS Light Pole
1500 block of Crestwood Dr
07-08-2021
At approximately 1:35 PM units with the Sierra Vista Police Department alongside Sierra Vista Fire and Medical Services responded to reports of a vehicle that struck a street lamp in the 1500 block of Crestwood Dr.
SVPD and SVFMS arrived on the scene and discovered a white minivan half on the sidewalk half in the front yard of a residence with a streetlight wedged under the front end.
Fire and medical crews evaluated the driver of the vehicle and determined there were no injuries.
According to a citizen on the scene who helped the driver out of the vehicle, she could smell alcohol on the driver’s breath.
Officers begin interviewing the driver and conduct a field sobriety test.
The driver appeared to be uncooperative during the test and refused to provide a breath test sample.
The driver was then placed in handcuffs and put in the back of a waiting patrol car.
We will update the story with additional information as it comes to light.

PETS AND PEOPLE PROMENADE CONTEST HELD THIS MORNING

PETS AND PEOPLE PROMENADE CONTEST HELD THIS [email protected] Veteran’s Memorial Park Sierra Vista! Brought to you in part by New Frontier Animal Medical Center: https://www.facebook.com/NewFrontierAnimalMedicalCenter/
The Sierra Vista Rotary Club, in partnership with the City of Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca, is thrilled to offer the community a full slate of Independence Day activities this year! See the schedule for July 4 here: https://www.facebook.com/events/943123616536055/.
Please remember to celebrate safely and responsibly. Consumer fireworks can only be used on private property in Sierra Vista and any fireworks that become airborne and explode are illegal in Arizona. We urge residents to forgo the use of consumer fireworks and instead enjoy the extraordinary public display at about 8:05 p.m.
Independence Day can be a scary day for pets due to sudden, loud noises. Pets are welcome at the Pets and People Promenade at 7 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Park but are not allowed in the park or sports fields for the rest of the Fourth of July festivities. Please ensure pets are secure and safe at home during the midday ceremony (when there will be a 50 canon salute) and the fireworks display as they may be alarmed by the loud noises. It’s also hot, so please be mindful never to leave animals behind in parked cars and remember hot asphalt or pavement can burn their paws.
And as a final reminder, please keep drones grounded, especially during the fireworks display. Use of drones is not allowed in City parks or sports fields, aside from Bolin Field.

SECURE THE BORDER RALLY HELD FRIDAY NIGHT AT HEREFORD AZ

SECURE THE BORDER RALLY HELD FRIDAY NIGHT AT HEREFORD AZ BORDER WALL….
PRESS RELEASE FOR THE RALLY BELOW:
FAIR: WE THE PEOPLE Demand That Biden Secure the Border
Hundreds of Citizens, Law Enforcement Officials, Victims of Illegal Alien Crime and Others Join FAIR to Rally at the Border in Sierra Vista, Arizona, on Friday, June 25
(June 21, 2021, Washington, D.C.) — Hundreds of citizen activists, sheriffs from around the country, victims of illegal alien crime, and others will be joining with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) for a rally at the border on June 25 to demand that the Biden-Harris administration fulfill its duty to secure our borders and protect the American people. Record levels of illegal alien apprehension at the border in May – more than 180,000 – and untold numbers who successfully enter the country, present a clear and present danger to national security, public health, and the general welfare of the American public. The message of the rally is: It. Must. Stop. Now.
“American citizens will be showing up at the border, in the scorching Arizona heat, to make it clear to President Biden and the media that the ‘root cause’ of this crisis is this administration’s deliberate sabotage of border security and immigration enforcement,” declared Dan Stein, president of FAIR. “This administration has sent a clear signal to people all across the globe that everyone will be allowed to enter our country illegally, that interior enforcement has ceased, and that they will be showered with benefits by American taxpayers after they arrive. President Biden and his administration created this crisis, and we, the people, demand that he ends it.”
Rally participants will also demand that Alejandro Mayorkas be removed from his position as secretary of Homeland Security. “The responsibility for the crisis ultimately rests with Joe Biden. But the architect of the administration’s policies is Secretary Mayorkas who is willfully in violation of his oath to secure the homeland and protect the security of the American people. Rather than working to end the crisis, he is facilitating it,” Stein charged.
Among the demands of the rally participants:
 Alejandro Mayorkas must resign or be fired.
 The federal government must complete construction of the border wall (which American taxpayers have already paid for).
 Reinstate the Migrant Protection Protocols which deterred asylum abuse by requiring migrants to remain in Mexico while their claims were considered.
 End catch-and-release policies.
 Take the shackles off the Border Patrol and ICE. Let them do their jobs!
 Maintain/Restore Title 42 to protect the American public from new, and more lethal strains of COVID.
“The public is becoming more alarmed, by the day, at the reckless policies of this administration that endanger the American public and migrants alike. This rally is just the beginning of a grassroots movement to force the president to end the crisis he created,” concluded Stein.
WHO: Former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan, former acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd, former Special Agent in Charge Derek Maltz, sheriffs, victims of illegal alien crime, legislators, and concerned Americans.
WHAT: Arizona rally in the Sierra Vista area on the border calling for an end to the Biden Border Crisis and for the removal of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
WHEN: Friday, June 25 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm MDT.
MEDIA ADMISSION: Event is now closed to further attendees however credentialed media is welcome with advanced notice. To register and be provided the location and directions, please contact Dave Ray ([email protected]fairus.org/202-368-7872).
