TEAM RWB INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO THE GWOT 100 CHALLENGE KICKOFF THIS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST, ON THIS EPISODE OF “CHECKING IN WITH JEFF DAVENPORT,” PRESENTED BY THE ED MORSE AUTOMOTIVE GROUP!

Today, Jeff checks in with Jennifer Rodriguez, the deputy chapter captain for the Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca Team RWB.

In February, they host a 100 mile challenge called the GWOT 100. It’s a challenge to complete 100 miles during the month of February by running, walking, biking, rowing or a combo of any of those.

Team RWB is having a kick off event on 1 FEB, featuring a walk/run at 0930 at the Sierra Vista Walmart side parking lot with a social after at Dunkin’ Donuts between 1045-1200.

Santa On The West-End Sierra Vista AZ is trying to rally our community to help a local family whos heat went out! A gofundme and message from the founder of the organization is below:

"My name is Mary Borunda, and I am the President of Santa on the West End, Inc. Charity Organization. Our charity is dedicated to helping children in need at Christmastime, ensuring they experience warmth, hope, and joy during the holiday season. While our focus is traditionally centered around Christmas, this situation is so urgent and directly impacts children that we feel compelled to make a special request.

This winter, we are advocating for a devoted grandmother who is raising her grandchildren and providing them with a loving, stable home during a very challenging season of life.

Recently, her furnace stopped working, leaving her home without heat in the middle of winter. Living on a fixed income, she cannot afford the cost of purchasing a new furnace or the professional installation required to restore heat to her home.

Santa on the West End has a soft spot for this family. We have had the privilege of helping this grandmother and her grandchildren in the past, and we have seen firsthand the strength, selflessness, and love she pours into her grandchildren every single day. She is doing everything within her power—but this is one hardship she cannot overcome on her own.

This is an urgent situation. No child should have to endure winter without heat, and no caregiver should have to face that fear alone.

We are asking our community to come together to help replace and install a furnace so this grandmother can keep her home safe, warm, and secure for the children in her care. Any support—whether through donations, services, or sharing this message—will make a meaningful difference.
