Coolfmlive what’s with asking for pictures from a fatal accident? Why would you seek to document that in a way that presents trauma cycling for families experiencing loss? Is “getting the shot” posted really worth that? Have we learned nothing? Grateful no one I see has provided your requested documentation of the trauma of families in loss. Grossed out you asked.

Salvation Army needs donations as well.

Hmm, if you’re going to buy a turkey and donate or for thanksgiving at home, please do not bother going to Food City in Sierra Vista. I went today to purchase our turkey for thanksgiving and was utterly shocked. Did not take my glasses inside and did not see the price. I just picked a butterball - all natural brand turkey around 20lbs and took it to checkout. The lady said that will $58.67. I said that must be a mistake. She said that’s what it rang up for. I told her I will take it back and pick another brand. Nope, all were ridiculously priced. So I left and headed to Walmart. Same brand and size- Butterball (all natural) 21lbs was $18.58! So either food city has made a pricing mistake on every brand of turkey or they are trying to rob people. I mean 3 times higher for the same brand and size of turkey??? Whaaaat!

The St. Vincent de Paul. They give a full box is items for Turkey Dinner. They are also looking for Turkey donations.

BENSON J6 - PLANNED 5 HR POWER OUTAGE

SSVEC has an outage in the Benson J6 area planned for TODAY, November 19th, beginning at 9:00am. The outage could last for 5 hours.

Here are some tips to make sure you’re prepared:

1. Make sure your mobile phone is charged: It’s a good idea to have your mobile charged. You might want to have a fully charged power bank available, too.

2. Protect food in your fridge and freezer: Keep your fridge and freezer doors closed to protect the contents. The FSA says a full freezer will hold a safe temperature for approximately 48 hours (24 hours if it’s half full) if the door remains closed.

3. Have food and drink available that doesn’t require electricity to prepare: You may not be able to use all your kitchen appliances, so you want to make sure there’s something available to eat that doesn’t require electricity for preparation.

4. Make sure essential medical equipment has a battery back-up: Be sure you regularly charge any medical equipment and keep a battery back-up available. Equipment and backup power supplies should be regularly checked and maintained by an experienced person. If you have concerns about your equipment, speak to your medical equipment or health care provider.

5. Switch off electrical appliances: Switch off all electrical appliances not designed to run unattended, so they don’t come on without you realizing once the power is back. It’s also a good idea to unplug your TV and PC, to avoid damage in the case of a surge when power returns.

6. Keep warm and safe: Having blankets and thick clothes ready and easily accessible. You can also reduce heat loss by closing doors on unused rooms and by closing curtains. Have a first aid kit handy too, in case of an emergency.

7. Fill your car with fuel: Many service stations can’t pump fuel during a power outage, so it’s a good idea to fill up if you know a power outage is coming. It’s also useful to know how to manually open your garage door if you have an electric one, so you can get the car out if needed.

Please remember we do not accept outage reports via social media. To report an unverified outage, contact 1-800-422-3275.

Will it reach safford Arizona

Why do they keep doing this?

Kudos to SSVEC for their terrific communication during this recent field work here at the J-6 Redhawk area. While a 5-hour outtage is inconvenient, SSVEC went a long way to help everyone affected prepare. We appreciate it!!!!!
