DOUGLAS FILIBERTOS CLOSES ITS DOORS: The closure, which occurred on Saturday, December 20th, will impact at least 5 full-time employees. Despite opening approximately 5 years ago, Filibertos' management cited slow sales at this location as the reason for the closure. We have heard no word on any other closures in our area.

SAD UPDATE - BELLA, AKA BUBBA, THE CHRISTMAS CAT RESCUED FROM THE DRAINAGE PIPE, HAS PASSED AWAY.
We have sad and unfortunate news to share about Bella/Bubba. Todd Ryen reports the story from shelter staff:
“After his initial care yesterday that was cleared by the vet of new frontier he was held at the shelter. When shelter staff arrived this morning to clean it was observed that he was not feeling well and gasping for air. I arrived to take a look at him and found him throwing up and rushed him to the vet as another officer drove I tried to keep him alert and clean him up while he passed in my arms after multiple seizures.”
We are sad to share this news, but are grateful for the tens of thousands who have seen the footage of Bella/Bubba’s rescue on Friday. It was an incredible labor of love for this beautiful animal, and we are thankful he was freed after three days in the drainage pipe and finished his life free.

CAFE OLE ISN'T CLOSING ITS SIERRA VISTA SPOT, FOLKS. So, it seems some pretty wild rumors have been flying around about Cafe Ole shutting down in March next year and high-tailing it to Tucson. Well, Coolfmlive decided to get the scoop and chatted with personnel, who spilled the beans that they're actually NOT ditching Sierra Vista, but instead will be opening a swanky new bar serving grub in Phoenix around March 2026. It's pretty crazy how a rumor can do the game of telephone and end up being totally off the mark.
