THIS SATURDAY - A HEARTWARMING DAY OF SERVICE WITH THE LION’S CLUB AT THE SALVATION ARMY, MAKING BLANKETS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED - IT’S “CHECKING IN WITH JEFF DAVENPORT,” PRESENTED BY THE ED MORSE AUTO GROUP!
This Saturday, October 10th at the Salvation Army Community Center, located at 180 E Wilcox Drive, Sierra Vista, the Sierra Vista Lion’s Club will be teaming up with the Salvation Army Sierra Vista Corps and Project Linus to create blankets for children who are in hospitals, social service agencies, traumatized, seriously ill, or otherwise in need of a blanket “hug.”
The community is invited to join them making no-sew fleece blankets, crocheting borders on fleece blankets, and hand-coloring custom quilt squares for one-of-a-kind quilts.

Sierra Vista Lions Club Foundation, in partnership with Project Linus and the Salvation Army, invites you to join us in creating handmade blankets for children experiencing trauma, illness, or other difficult circumstances.
No experience needed! We'll be:
🧵 Making no-sew tied fleece blankets
🧶 Crocheting edges on pre-cut fleece blankets
🎨 Coloring custom quilt blocks for unique quilts
Every blanket created will be distributed by Project Linus to children in hospitals, shelters, and social service agencies—providing comfort when it's needed most.
👨👩👧👦 This is a FREE, family-friendly event, and everyone is welcome! Bring your friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers and help us make a lasting difference in a child's life.
🥤 Light refreshments will be available while supplies last.
❤️ Together, we can turn simple acts of kindness into lasting comfort.

Hosted by the Sierra Vista Police, Fire, and EMS, National Night Out is a great opportunity to meet some of the men and women who serve our community while getting an up-close look at the agencies, equipment and resources that help keep Cochise County safe.
