This years Little League baseball District 8 regional tournament was hosted all three age divisions this year for the first time at Stone Sports Complex and it was a great success!
Sierra Vista Little League Baseball President Cheryl Voss made the following wrap up statement about this year's tournament in Sierra Vista AZ:
" Minus a few weather delays, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome 🙌
Our tournament team made Sierra Vista Little League history! This was the first tournament team to successfully host three All-Star divisions concurrently.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, we raised enough funds during the regular season to purchase and install permanent fencing on Stone Fields 3 and 4. That investment made a significant difference during the District Tournament, allowing us to expand the number of playable fields and provide every visiting team with a complete, tournament-ready playing experience. It's a lasting improvement that will benefit our league and the community for years to come.
We were also incredibly grateful for the support of Chief Heiser and the Sierra Vista Police Department Officers who maintained a presence at every game throughout the tournament. Their commitment helped provide a safe environment for our players, families, and visitors, while offering reassurance to the community following the threats made toward the fields at the start of the tournament.
And of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the Coolfmlive crew for spending countless hours at the fields, often broadcasting games live well into the evening. For some of these players, this tournament may be the pinnacle of their baseball journey, while for others it could be the beginning of something even greater. Regardless of where their path leads, having your team there to showcase their hard work made every player feel seen, included, and proud to be apart of something bigger than themselves. Those are memories they'll carry with them long after the final out"
Good luck to our area teams from American Southwest Credit Union and Ed Morse Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Sierra Vista
