🏊‍♂️🏃‍♀️Youth Ages 5-17 Can Join Us For The Thunderbolt Youth Triathlon 🚲

Saturday, Sept. 26, starting at The Cove!

All participants will receive a t-shirt, challenge coin, and a race bag full of goodies. Youth can participate individually or as part of a relay team (swimmer, cyclist, or runner).

Race leg distances:
Ages 5-10: 50-yard swim, 3-mile bike, and .5-mile run.
Ages 11-17: 200-yard swim, 6-mile bike, and 1 mile run.

Cost is just $35 for an individual or $65 for a relay team. Youth with diagnosed disabilities which could be fairly and reasonably addressed with an accommodation can participate for free using the coupon code "BoltChampion" at registration.

Her team emerged victorious, defeating team USA 1-0 in the championship game. Behati, 12 years old, participated in the 12u division in Waxahachie, Texas at the World Fast Pitch Classic held July 10th-12th 2026. The team was comprised girls from Arizona, California, and Texas. La Sierra Grill Steak House has announced updated business hours effective today, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, following a review of customer traffic patterns over the past year.

Residents across Cochise County should prepare for an active stretch of monsoon weather as isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected today and Wednesday, with storm chances increasing Thursday and Friday.

While not everyone will see rainfall each day, any storm that develops has the potential to produce heavy downpours, localized flash flooding, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief periods of reduced visibility. Roadways may become slick, with water ponding in low-lying areas and washes rising quickly.

Here’s the outlook:
• Today (July 14): Isolated to scattered thunderstorms
• Wednesday (July 15): Isolated to scattered thunderstorms
• Thursday (July 16): Increasing chances for thunderstorms

Visitors planning a trip to Parker Canyon Lake should be aware of a temporary change in services.

Due to low water levels, boat rentals are currently unavailable and will remain suspended until the lake level rises to a safe operating level. Lake officials appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as they monitor conditions.

The good news is that the lake remains open for recreation:

* The boat ramp is open for those bringing their own watercraft.
* The lake store is open, offering cold drinks, snacks, and other essentials for visitors enjoying a day at the lake.

Officials will continue to monitor water levels and will announce when boat rentals are able to resume.

Good morning, Cochise County!

We’re looking at another active monsoon day across southeastern Arizona, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected to develop through the afternoon and evening hours.

Today’s storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flash flooding, especially in low-lying areas, washes, and locations that have received recent rainfall. If you encounter a flooded roadway, remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

In addition to heavy rain, slightly drier air in the middle levels of the atmosphere may increase the potential for strong downburst winds, meaning some storms could produce sudden wind gusts capable of blowing dust, reducing visibility, and causing isolated tree damage or power outages.

Today’s Main Hazards:
• Heavy rainfall
• Localized flash flooding
• Strong downburst winds
• Frequent lightning
• Brief periods of reduced visibility from blowing dust and heavy rain
