Some things lean - and keep standing anyway. That's wisdom earned the hard way.

This old loading chute on Brown Canyon Ranch in Hereford Arizona has weathered a hundred summers, a thousand desert nights, and whatever storms rolled through the Huachucas and swooped down its eastern slopes with heavy gusted winds. The posts have given ground. The rails have shifted. But the whole structure - leaning, worn, silver with age - is still there. Still holding its shape against the mountains. Still framing the sky.

And what a sky to frame.

A full moon, filtered by burning skies filled with heavy, reddened dust, burns through the clouds like a coal that never cooled. The stars hold their positions - patient, indifferent to the drama of the weather below.

And those amber clouds... lit from beneath by the glow of a world full of people who rarely look up - move through the frame like they own it.

But they don't.
The stars were there before them.
And the stars will be there long after.

Some Mondays feel like that corral looks. A little tilted. A few rails out of place. The week ahead rolling in like weather you didn't forecast.

That's fine.

Perfection is rarely the positions that we hold, but the next step forward as we allow each second to wash over us.

But, if you hold on long enough, the light will find you - it always does...

... eventually.
