At first glance, you’ll notice something pretty unforgettable… her legendary permanent “grump face.” Honestly, it might be one of the best we’ve ever seen! She looks like she disapproves of absolutely everything — but we promise, it’s just her adorable expression. 😼

In reality, Gecko is a gentle and shy girl who simply takes her time getting comfortable. What she loves most is the company of friendly, kind cats who help her feel safe and show her that life can still be pretty wonderful.

Gecko would do best in a calm, quiet home with a confident kitty companion who can help her settle in and remind her that being a cat is actually pretty great. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine, and she blossoms into a loving little companion.

Dog licensing in Sierra Vista AZ is easier than ever!

Sierra Vista’s Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center has partnered with DocuPet to offer residents a convenient, modern licensing system designed to protect pets and bring them home safely if they go missing.

This online licensing platform allows residents to license their dogs from the comfort of their own home, without having to drive to the shelter or mail checks and documentation. It’s easy, efficient, and more accessible.

Plus, through the program every registration includes a DocuPet tag and access to HomeSafe, a 24/7 lost pet service. Each tag features a unique ID code linked to a secure online pet profile. These tools help expedite lost pet reunifications, often before dogs enter a shelter.

“Licensing is an important responsibility for dog owners, but it should also provide peace of mind,” Sierra Vista Animal Control Supervisor Arleen Garcia says. “By partnering with DocuPet, we’re making the licensing process simple while ensuring local pet owners have extra protection if their pet ever goes missing.”

Licensing requires proof of rabies vaccination. The prices remain the same, unless ordering a specialty tag. The cost is $20 per unaltered dog, and $5 for dogs that are spayed or neutered. Proof of spay or neuter is required for the discount.

Arizona law and City code require that dogs maintained within city limits be licensed annually. Late fees for lapsed licenses will be waived until Aug.19. Learn more⬇️

Tombstone Wild West Days Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with special attention to the service of our troops past and present🇺🇸

THE ROAD TO 250:

On Friday, Tombstone is proud to be a host stop for The Road to 250: Arizona Traveling History Museum, part of the America250AZ celebration from 10am-5pm and Saturday from10am-2pm.

PARADE
Parade on Saturday begins at 11AM. Prizes will be given to those entries who show red, white, and blue or pay specific tribute to the Marines and Navy.

STREET ENTERTAINMENT
There will be entertainment on Allen Street from after the parade on Saturday until 2pm and Sunday from 10AM to 2PM.

A beloved dining destination in Bisbee has closed its doors for good. The Copper Pig, a popular reservation-only fine dining restaurant located in the Warren neighborhood, has announced it is permanently closed.

Callers to the restaurant’s phone line now hear a recorded message from owner Heather Reddon confirming the closure and getting emotional at the end of her message. You can listen for yourself at 520-432-9970.

“Thank you for calling the Copper Pig. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Copper Pig will be closing permanently. I thank everyone for their continued support. I was so proud to be part of this community and serve you. I'm so sorry.”

The Copper Pig first opened its doors on August 7, 2022, founded by Chris Dangerfield and Heather Reddon. Located in Bisbee’s Warren neighborhood, the nine-table restaurant quickly built a reputation for its intimate atmosphere and elevated comfort food.

Specializing in dinner service, the restaurant offered a carefully curated dining experience featuring a rotating menu and daily blackboard specials. Guests could expect creative dishes that often highlighted pork, seafood, and other thoughtfully prepared entrées. Due to its small size and high demand, reservations were essential.

The Copper Pig also operated under a bring-your-own-beverage policy, as it did not hold a liquor license. Diners were encouraged to bring their own wine or beverages to accompany their meals, adding to the restaurant’s unique and personalized dining experience.

During its time in operation, The Copper Pig became a staple of the local dining scene in Bisbee and was widely appreciated for its quality cuisine and intimate setting. The sudden closure has come as a surprise to many in the community.

At this time, no additional information has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the restaurant’s closure. The Copper Pig’s absence will undoubtedly be felt by loyal patrons and the broader Bisbee community alike.
