Monday mornings have a way of feeling like standing at a gate.

Behind us is the comfort of the weekend. Ahead lies a path we can't fully see yet. There will be meetings, responsibilities, unexpected detours, and opportunities we haven't imagined.

It's tempting to stand still and wonder what waits farther down the trail. But life has never required us to see the entire journey. Only the next step.

Looking at this old cattle chute beneath the Milky Way, I'm reminded that every great journey begins by passing through something. A doorway. A challenge. A decision. A moment when we choose to move forward despite not knowing exactly what comes next.

The stars overhead have traveled unimaginable distances to reach us. They didn't arrive all at once. They arrived one photon at a time.

Progress works much the same way.

One conversation.
One act of kindness.
One lesson learned.
One step forward.

So as this new week unfolds, don't worry about seeing all the way to Friday. Just walk through the gate. The rest of the path will reveal itself soon enough.

📢 SIERRA VISTA TO HOST MEET-AND-GREET FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL CANDIDATE RODNEY GLASSMAN 📢

Residents of Cochise County will have an opportunity to meet and learn more about Arizona Attorney General candidate Rodney Glassman during an upcoming campaign event in Sierra Vista.

Supporters and community members are invited to attend a fundraising meet-and-greet on Friday, June 19, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Vinny’s New York Pizza, located at 1977 S. Frontage Road.

The event is being hosted by MSG Jack Dona (Retired), founder of the CONELRAD Group think tank, and is intended to provide attendees with an opportunity to hear directly from Glassman, ask questions, and learn more about his vision and priorities for Arizona.

According to campaign materials, Glassman currently serves as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps Reserve and is Of Counsel with the Slaviscek Law Firm. He lives in Phoenix with his wife, Sasha, and their two daughters.

Organizers encourage those interested in meeting the candidate and becoming more involved in the political process to attend. RSVP information is included on the event invitation.

🐾💔 A BELOVED NO-KILL ANIMAL SHELTER FACES CLOSURE — YOUR HELP IS NEEDED 💔🐾

For years, the Santa Cruz Humane Society has been a lifeline for homeless, abandoned, neglected, and unwanted animals throughout Southern Arizona. Through compassion, dedication, and countless hours of hard work, this no-kill shelter has helped thousands of dogs and cats find loving forever homes while providing a safe haven for those with nowhere else to go.

Now, the organization has announced that it is facing the heartbreaking reality of closing its doors sometime this fall unless additional support can be secured.

According to the shelter, operations will continue while staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure every animal currently in their care is either adopted or transferred to another rescue organization. However, they have made it clear that they cannot accomplish this mission without the support of the community.

For many animal lovers, the Santa Cruz Humane Society represents far more than a shelter. It is a place of second chances, hope, healing, and unconditional love for animals who deserve a future.

The shelter will need to raise roughly $380,000 in order to remain in operation for another year.

In a statement shared through their fundraising efforts, the organization said:

“Your help will keep the shelter open. We are in need of your help. Every dollar brings us closer to a world where every pet finds a loving home.”

The shelter has served the community for many years as a no-kill facility and continues to provide boarding services and veterinary support while working toward the best possible outcome for the animals currently in its care.
