‼️ TOMBSTONE MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING EARLY MORNING SHOOTING ‼️

Authorities are continuing to investigate an early morning shooting that left one man seriously injured in Tombstone.

According to the Tombstone Marshal’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of North 12th Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25, following reports of an assault involving gunfire.

When law enforcement arrived, deputies located an adult male on the front porch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim told responding deputies that the suspect remained inside the residence.

Deputies made contact with the suspect inside the home and took him into custody without further incident.

The injured man was treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to Tucson for additional medical care.

Investigators identified the suspect as Vincent Michael Deciutiis of Tombstone. Authorities stated both the suspect and victim lived at the North 12th Street residence where the shooting occurred.

According to investigators, the two men had reportedly been involved in an altercation earlier in the evening at the Oriental Saloon before the dispute continued after returning home and ultimately escalated into gunfire.

Deciutiis is being charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault/Domestic Violence, Endangerment, Attempted Murder.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Major Incident Division (MID) is now investigating a Highway Patrol State Trooper-involved shooting that occurred just after 8:00 a.m. Monday morning on Interstate 10 westbound near Benson.

According to AZDPS Highway Patrol, the incident began as a traffic stop along westbound I-10.

Officials have confirmed that the individual who was shot by State Troopers is deceased. DPS also stated that no State Troopers were injured during the incident.

At this time, authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the scene has been secured as investigators continue processing and reviewing the incident.

Additional details surrounding what led up to the shooting have not yet been released. DPS says more information will be shared as it is confirmed and available for release.

🚔 UPDATE: ASSAULT ESCALATES INTO EARLY MORNING SHOOTING IN TOMBSTONE 🚔

On 5/25/26 at approximately 12:30 am, the Tombstone Marshal's Office was dispatched to an assault call on N 12th st in Tombstone. Upon arrival, one subject was located on the front porch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim advised the person that shot them was inside the residence. The deputy on scene located the suspect in this case and he was taken into custody with out further issues.

The victim was treated on scene, then taken to a local hospital, where he was then flown to a hospital in Tucson. All subjects have been accounted for, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
