‼️THREE ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRESPASSING INCIDENT AT BORDER WALL CONSTRUCTION SITE‼️
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office - Mark J. Dannels Sheriff has released the following information regarding the arrest of three individuals following a reported trespassing incident involving protesters at a restricted border wall construction site.
The following press release is quoted in its entirety:
“COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. — The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported trespassing incident involving multiple protesters at a restricted construction area along the international border, east of the Santa Cruz–Cochise County line.
Security personnel working for the construction company contacted the individuals and advised them they were not authorized to remain in the area. The individuals were directed to leave but refused to comply.
Several individuals subsequently moved farther into the restricted area and accessed construction materials intended for use in the border wall project. Their actions created a safety and security concern for the protesters, construction personnel, private security personnel, and responding law enforcement officers.
Deputies responded to the scene and took enforcement action. Three individuals were arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct.
Sheriff Mark Dannels stated:
“The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office respects the right of individuals to peacefully protest and express their views. That right, however, does not extend to trespassing, damaging property, interfering with lawful operations, or creating a safety hazard, and we take a zero-tolerance approach to these actions.
Our responsibility is to protect the public, protect property, and enforce the law fairly and consistently. When individuals cross that line and violate the law, they should expect law enforcement to take appropriate action.
No one is above the law. We will continue to respond to these incidents in a coordinated, professional, and deliberate manner. Our expectation is simple: individuals may exercise their lawful rights, but they must also comply with the law.”
The Sheriff’s Office will continue coordinating with federal authorities, construction personnel, and security partners regarding law enforcement and public safety concerns associated with activities in and around restricted construction areas.
The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office encourages individuals participating in demonstrations to remain in areas where they are legally permitted and to follow lawful directions from security personnel and law enforcement officers.”

⚡🌴 LIGHTNING STRIKE IGNITES PALM TREE IN SIERRA VISTA‼️
SIERRA VISTA, AZ — Emergency crews are on scene in the 900 block of Charles Drive after a palm tree was reportedly struck by lightning and caught fire amid storm activity in the area.
Residents are urged to remain weather-aware as thunderstorms continue to produce lightning across the region. Lightning can ignite trees, vegetation and other materials, and in some cases, smoke or fire may not become immediately noticeable following a strike.
If you see smoke, flames or signs of a possible fire following a lightning strike, keep a safe distance and report it to emergency services. Do not approach a burning or recently struck tree, especially while lightning remains in the area.
Anyone outdoors should seek shelter inside a substantial building or enclosed vehicle when thunder is heard and avoid trees, open areas and exposed locations until the storm has safely passed.
CoolFMLive is following the situation and will provide additional information if it becomes available.

Each September, members of the Professional Firefighters of Sierra Vista L4492 make the trip to Bisbee AZ to climb 110 stories in honor of the 343 firefighters who went to work on an ordinary day and never came home. Some of the crew made the visit Sunday September 13th.
The Firefighters made the following statement on their facebook page:
"It’s not just stairs. It’s paying an homage to every firefighter that answered the call, who searched for people, carried people out, saved lives, and kept climbing higher when there was still someone to reach. They fought until the very end.
We can never forget that.
We can’t forget what this job title carries. The things we see. The things we breathe. The things we carry home with us, sometimes without even realizing it.
And we won’t forget what happened to so many of those who survived 9/11, only to pay for it years later with their health and their lives. The aftermath of 9/11 showed the country exactly why firefighters need strong unions. When our members are sick, injured, exposed, or fighting for the protections they deserve, they need someone willing to stand beside them and keep fighting long after the cameras are gone.
That’s why we keep climbing.
That’s why we keep remembering.
And that’s why we keep fighting.
For the ones who never made it home.
For the ones who did.
For the families who carry it with them.
For the person beside us.
And to remind ourselves why we do this job.
25 years later, we still remember. We still climb.
Thanks to all our fire crews across our area for your efforts from Desert Rv
