🚨 BREAKING UPDATE: ARREST MADE IN SIERRA VISTA VEHICLE BURGLARIES 🚨
A series of vehicle burglaries in Sierra Vista, AZ that occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 4, 2026, has now resulted in an arrest, according to the Sierra Vista Police Department.
Below is the official information provided by SVPD, quoted directly for accuracy:
“On Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at around 12:30 a.m., the Sierra Vista Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 2200 block of Las Brisas Way. The victim reported he believed someone was trying to break into his car. During the investigation, officers discovered two other vehicles in the area of the 1400 block of Carmelita Drive and the 800 block of Lenzner Avenue that were also damaged.”
“SVPD, with assistance from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, made an arrest of a juvenile for three counts of vehicle burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools, one count of felony criminal damage, and one count of underage possession of marijuana.”
“No surveillance video was used in identifying or capturing the suspect. As the suspect is a juvenile, no photo or identification will be released at this time.”
“There is no indication that these incidents are related to the vehicle burglary reported on Feb. 2, 2026. Both cases remain active investigations, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact SVPD.”

Kidnapping and Homicide Case Results in Life Sentence
Rynn Prairie-Rocca, 37, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with a violent crime that began as a reported kidnapping in the Pearce area of Cochise County, Arizona, in early January 2025, which later became a homicide investigation. The investigation commenced after the victim escaped and was able to reach safety and contact law enforcement.
According to the investigation, the victim reported that an armed suspect approached her at the property, forced her into the residence at gunpoint, and restrained and blindfolded her. While she was being held, the victim reported hearing multiple loud “pops” consistent with gunfire. After dark, the suspect placed the victim into her Chevrolet Avalanche and drove away from the area. The victim was later taken to a Dollar General in Sunsites, where she was able to escape and run to a nearby residence for help. While deputies worked to gather evidence and locate the suspect, investigators entered the residence with consent to check for the victim’s partner and ensure the scene was safe. During the investigation inside the home, deputies located evidence of gunfire, including shell casings and blood, and discovered the victim’s boyfriend deceased. At that time, the case shifted from a kidnapping investigation to a homicide investigation, and search warrants were obtained.
Chief Criminal Deputy County Attorney Brian McIntyre stated, “Planned, calculated acts of violence are, thankfully, few and far between in our community. The fact that this defendant preyed upon people who previously provided him a home was particularly egregious. It is said that in some cases you sentence the offender, and in others you sentence the offense; with today’s resolution, both were accomplished. After impassioned statements from victims, the Court appropriately found aggravating factors of emotional harm, financial gain, and the defendant’s prior criminal history. The sentence protects the community from future harm and provided the victims much-needed closure as they move forward without their loved one.” #News #sierravistaaz #pearceaz #sunsitesaz

The Sierra Vista Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance following a vehicle burglary that occurred at Walmart in Sierra Vista, AZ on the night of February 2, 2026.
In a statement released by SVPD, police said:
“The Sierra Vista Police Department is seeking the community’s help in identifying persons of interest for questioning related to a vehicle burglary that occurred at Walmart on the night of February 2, 2026.”
Investigators have identified two individuals they believe may be associated with this incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
SVPD further stated:
“If you recognize the individuals pictured or have any information that may assist investigators, please contact SVPD at 520-452-7500 or submit tips anonymously through SVPDTip@sierravistaaz.gov.”
“Your assistance helps keep our community safe. Thank you for your continued support.”
