🔥 BOX FIRE BURNING IN RINCON MOUNTAINS EAST OF TUCSON 🔥

Fire crews are responding to the Box Fire, currently burning in the Rincon Mountains within the Saguaro National Park area, on the Tucson side of the mountain range near the Colossal Cave area. Reports indicate the fire is approximately 30 acres in size at this time.

📍 Approximate Location:
32.125892, -110.687379

The fire is burning in rugged mountain terrain within the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Park, which can present challenges for firefighting operations. The Rincon Mountains are located east of Tucson and are part of a large wilderness area known for steep, difficult-to-access terrain.

Residents in the Tucson area, Vail, and surrounding communities may see smoke from the fire. Motorists and recreationists in the area are encouraged to remain alert and avoid interfering with emergency operations.
